In this workshop, groups will develop an understanding of the importance of scale in strategic collaboration and conservation, and the value of mid-scale work in identifying and coordinating landscape-level opportunities. Recognizing that large counties or Districts are generally too big for implementing strategic conservation on the ground, we offer guidance in understanding the concepts and importance of scale and identifying opportunity areas where ecological, administrative and social considerations enable success. This will help set the stage for LIT-wide spatial planning. This workshop will also be held in conjunction with the Burns Local Implementation Team and the Harney County CCAA Steering Committee.
