Emily O'Connor
Information Specialist

Emily grew up all over the U.S. but calls Idaho home. She has a bachelors in Ecology, Wildlife, and Fisheries from Brigham Young University—Idaho and worked for several years as a Range Technician with the Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Station in Burns, OR. 

For more than a decade Emily was a stay-at-home mom to four girls and in 2022 she decided it was time to ease back into the workforce. It was then that she joined the HDP team as the Information Specialist. Emily runs the Southeast Oregon Job Board, manages data for the team, and assists collaborative coordinators as needed. She enjoys the range of opportunities working at HDP affords her and is gaining an even greater love of Harney County by seeing all that is going on here.

Outside of HDP work Emily teaches private piano lessons, is the chairperson of the Harney County Arts in Education Foundation, adventures with her family, watercolors, and enjoys outdoor activities like snowboarding, backpacking, and running.
