Camille Torres
Collaborative Project Coordinator
Camille lived in the Seattle area for about 19 years of her life, so living in the rural setting of Harney County has been a very different and interesting experience for her. From Seattle she went on to New Zealand for about a year and a half and when she came back stateside family lured her to Harney County. She started out at High Desert Partnership as a biological technician on the 2021 summer crew and decided to stay after the season was over. Although she didn’t go to school for it, nature and natural sciences have always been an interest to her. She has always had a love for plants, especially the ones you can cook with. She’s hoping to return to school and further pursue this interest. Camille also has a passion for working with youth. Her family ran a karate school for about 17 years which fostered a love for mentoring youth and providing them with new experiences.
Outside of work she enjoys cooking, playing with her dogs, traveling whenever she can, and attending concerts.
