Photos often speak louder than words.

Esther Lev, the Wetlands Conservancy and crew sampling vegetation in Harney Co wet meadows to better understand the interaction of flood irrigation and meadow species. Over the years there has been a shift in primary grass species from meadow foxtail to less desirable Reed canary grass. This negatively impacts hay production and migratory bird habitat. Work is supported by Oweb focused investment partnership. Wellie boots still needed today as water at this late date is standing in fields.
